The guy in that photo 1000% believes he’s not going to fail at that juggle. There’s a gentle reminder there, too - that confidence you’re talking about!

I've heard the advice "Increase your luck surface area." It's a smart way of thinking!

Is it important that the projects being juggled have a commonality that supports a personal brand? Or is it ok if the projects are "these are my four best ideas"?

Matt! Why'd. I like this and then not actually respond to it??? I think if you're super early in a career, (ie haven't had anything really widely read in Hollywood) there's not a ton of upside to identifying with one strong brand. The branding is really an effort to support an already known quantity about your work ("he writes thrillers") but if you're early on, that's not necessarily important. Brand is however important if you've had scripts / work out there already and people liked that work. Leaning into repeating yourself can be valuable to get people to buy in on the next one. But! I say all of this as someone whose brand is pretty broadly -- "things that are kinda far out but have heart" -- which is hardly super limiting. As with everything, go with your gut.
