For me the bummer is usually talent-focused. What the actors or filmmakers attached could have done with the material. Movies I’ve put together as an executive and as a writer. Great name talent. Awesome filmmakers. It’s a bummer every time you see them do anything else because it’s a reminder.
Totally. The number of “What Ifs” you end up with after many iterative attempts to puzzle something together is just wild. So many versions of every movie/show almost come to be!
I've been one of those writers who got paid for years with nothing made - to this day, my only written contribution to cinema doesn't even have my name on it.
I made up for it by becoming a Reality TV editor, when they kick your shit onto TV with it barely finished. 😀
