Hollyweird is doing office hours now
and you're invited
Last week I told you I’d been noodling on bringing the Hang back.
I’ve stopped noodling.
The Hollyweird Hang is returning on Wednesday, July 1st at 12pm PT / 3pm ET — and the first one is free and open to the entire Hollyweird community.
Here’s what it’s going to be
A live, online Q&A. Basically these will be the Hollyweird Office Hours.
You bring whatever you’ve been stewing over — a script problem, a career question, a “what should I focus on next?” brainstorm, something about the industry that doesn’t make sense to you — and I answer it as honestly as I can. No prepared content, no slides, no performance. Just a working writer in a room with people who actually want to talk about this stuff.
I can’t promise I’ll have the answer to everything. But I can promise I’ll tell you what I know, what I don’t know, and what I’d do if I were you. Which — as I wrote last week — is sometimes all you need.
The details
Wednesday July 1st, 12pm PT / 3pm ET
Live on Zoom — link sent to everyone who RSVPs
60-75 minutes
Recorded and available afterward if you can’t make it live
Want to submit a question in advance?
You don’t have to wait until July 1st to ask. Submit your question ahead of time and it goes to the top of the queue. The question form closes 48 hours before the session.
One important note
This is a one-time free session. Going forward, Hollyweird Office Hours will be a monthly event for paid subscribers — the first Wednesday of every month, same format. I'm finalizing the membership details now and will have everything ready to share after the session. If you come on July 1st and find it useful, you'll know exactly what you're signing up for.
For now: just come.
So. What have you been trudging around the house muttering about?
Bring it July 1st.
